Vetpro Acid Protect

Vetpro Acid Protect is a nutritional supplement formulated to help neutralise stomach acid in horses during periods of increased ulcer risk, including exercise, racing, transport, stabling and restricted grazing. Its scientifically developed multi-magnesium complex has been shown to neutralise stomach acid for at least six hours, helping protect the stomach mucosa from acid splash during periods when horses are vulnerable to acid damage. Vetpro Acid Protect is designed to complement good feeding and management practices and may be particularly useful after a veterinary course of omeprazole, when horses continue to be exposed to the management conditions that contribute to stomach acid damage.

Vetpro Acid Protect has been internationally developed and scientifically proven to neutralise acid in the stomach to prevent damage to the stomach mucosa (Leleu & Couroucé, 2023).

Vetpro Acid Protect does provide a minimum of 6 hours acid neutralisation which can cover the period of time a horse is vulnerable to acid damage (VSN, 2021). It can be given twice a day to cover a minimum of 12 hours of vulnerable time.
