Henrike Puketapu
Henrike Puketapu, Sponsorship Level
I am originally from Hamburg (Germany) and after finishing my Master Degree in Economics, I moved to NZ in 2005. I am living with my husband Steve , stepson Zac , 4 dogs, and 3 cats and currently 11 horses in sunny Gisborne.
I am a full time equestrian and my main focus is dressage and showing, since retiring from jumping and eventing. My husband and I are also breeding Hanoverians under the name HSP Hanoverians and we are excited about seeing the first youngsters having success in the sport.
For the upcoming season, I will have a team of 3 horses going, plus a couple of youngsters to start under saddle.
My youngest team member is HSP Raven (imp. Germany) . She will start with Level 4 in Dressage and move up to 5 after Christmas. She is a quiet overachiever and I am so excited about her future.
My other super mare HSP Soe (imp. Germany) will start at Level 7 and continue her career in the Riding Horse show ring.
Lastly, my trusted Friesian Alexander M will have a start at Grand Prix all things going to plan.
I have an interest in all things horsey, their well being and general training. I am a fully qualified Equine Touch©️body worker and I love that I am able to reward my horses for all their hard work and to make sure they are feeling their best.

Sarah Bevege
Hi guys, I’m Sarah Bevege a 24 year old from a tiny place called Aria. I have spent the last 3 years full time shepherding in the mighty King Country following 3 years at the well known Thoroughbred retraining centre Event Stars Ltd where I worked straight after leaving college.
Over the last 3 years I have built up a strong team of horses, The Flash a 10 year old TB gelding by Fastnet Rock, Ngatamahine JJ Airtime a homebred Holsteiner 12 year old gelding and Ngatamahine Legs a 4 year old homebred Warmblood.
Last season I competed to 1.35m Show Jumping at 2* eventing, this coming seasons goals are to have a crack at 3* eventing and 1.40m Show Jumping with the older boys and Young Event Horse with Legs.
As well as horses I have a full team of 8 working dogs who keep me pretty busy during the day, all my horses are pretty well accustomed to having dogs under their legs and in their tail!
I have been partnered with Equestrian Central for 5 years and I am hugely grateful for their support and I’m a big advocate for all their incredible products, follow my ride page ‘The Shepherd That Events’ for more updates.

Hello, my name is Dylan Bibby, and I have been riding since I was very young. I am very keen on Show Jumping, and I currently have 3 horses ready to compete this season. I am based in Ongaonga, Central Hawkes Bay on the Bibby family farm, and work with Carfields as an Apprentice Stock Agent. My three horses for the coming season are: Magic Dragon, who is currently competing at Young Rider Level with good success. The Eleventh Hour, who is 7 years old and I hope to compete up to 1.25m this season. Albonetti is my young, up-and-coming horse whom I look forward to competing with this season. I am very thankful to Equestrian Central for giving me this opportunity to be one of their Sponsored Riders.
Andrew McLennan
The McLennan Family
Andrew McLennan is a passionate and dedicated young equestrian based in Central Hawkes Bay. Since the arrival of his first small hairy pony when he was 2, he has enjoyed pony club and all things equestrian. Showing and show hunter provided valuable experience and some great results before becoming focused on showjumping. While working his way up the levels of showjumping he has had a lot of fun and success. His goal is to produce his own ponies from grassroots to grand prix level. He has been starting and schooling young ponies for as long as he can remember, giving him some essential skills and experiences to help him strive for his goals. On the team this season he has 2 very talented young ponies, and his small but sassy mini prix pony A Kind of Magic affectionately known as ‘The Flying Banana’. He also has 2 nice young hacks waiting in the wings. Andrew is very excited to be a associated with Equestrian Central.
Emma Pledger
Emma Rowe-Pledger
I currently have two dressage horses in work, one competing at Small Tour & the other at Novice and I have a two year old from David Woolley waiting in the wings. I am based in Central Otago. Wanaka is a stunning place to live, but involves a lot of travel to compete, so I have tried & tested a number of products in this regard, be it for horse health or equipment. As well as coaching some lovely combinations I am also on the Upper Clutha A & P equestrian committee, a huge & very exciting show to be part of. This season we are looking forward to tackling our levels and getting out there. I have a great team in regards to my coach, farrier, vet & body workers and am very much looking forward to continuing my association with Equestrian Central. Support like this goes a long way in this field! Lucy and her team are super efficient & always go the extra mile.

Leah Bibby
Leah Bibby
Hi, my name is Leah Bibby, and I am currently based in Central Hawkes Bay, finishing my last year at CHB College. I have been surrounded by horses since I was born and have dabbled in nearly every discipline, but I have since settled on dressage. Dressage is a good discipline for me as I am able to compete in Para classes with people who can relate to my struggles. I am a grade V para rider because of being born with Hip Dysplasia, leaving me with limited strength in my legs. Currently, I have 2 horses in work, both competing in dressage. Tiberus, this coming season, will be competing in Level 4 and Grade V Para Grand Prix, and my other horse, Parkridge Windsong, will also be competing in Level 3 and Grade V Para Grand Prix.
